Share-a-Pot Mobile Application
This is a productivity enhancement mobile application for the *Share a Pot (SaP) programme’s volunteers.
The SaP mobile application enables volunteers to do frailty assessment for elderly participants in a more efficient way. It also helps to set, track and manage participants’ physical activities, in this case, steps taken weekly.
Besides that, administrators of SaP programme are able to monitor the participants’ attendance and assessment results easily through a web-based dashboard.
Currently, volunteers have to fill up hardcopy forms to record the assessment scores and questionnaire answers. Subsequently, the volunteers file the hardcopies for the administrators to transcribe them into digital format.
*Share a Pot is a community based programme that aims to strengthen the elderly in Singapore and fortify the neighbourhoods in which they live. Each week, a pot of traditional soups containing ingredients with calcium and protein are prepared by volunteers for the elderly to eat together after group exercises. Weight-bearing and muscle-strengthening exercises help to synthesize protein to muscles and build strong bones. These communal interactions take place in familiar ‘third places’ such as community centres and religious organisations, which are inclusive towards everyone regardless of ethnicity, age or physical abilities.
